The Workplace Readiness programme is a registered Skills Programme with INSETA.
The work place readiness program has been designed to assist learners in becoming workplace ready in eight workplace fundamental requirements, namely:
Ethics and Conflicts of Interest
Workplace ethics are codes of conduct that influence the development of an ethical culture within the workplace
Workplace Etiquette and Relationships
Time Management
Time management is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between specific activities. Good time management enables you to work smarter – not harder.
Customer Care
Analysing information in order to provide customer service.
Workplace performance
Evaluating own work performance and behaviour in relation to the requirements of a specific position.
Computer Literacy Awareness
The topics of learning covered in this section include:
1. Hardware and Software
2. How to operate a computer
3. Types of Microsoft Office applications used on a computer
Financial Awareness and Self Budgeting
Understand the financial risk that can impact on their own lives and make decisions to reduce the effect of that risk.
Learners who achieve this unit standard are able to interpret an income and expenditure statement and use information in the statement to make a financial decision
Communication Skills
Communication skills can be defined as the ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently.
Each component of learning is designed to assist in the development of skills set for an unemployed to enable the learner to integrate into the workplace environment with the necessary skills.
